Even though our original birth plan had to be changed, Melissa was able to help keep us on track as much as possible so we could still have the birth we wanted! From the many different labor support techniques to stepping in to give my husband a break when needed, Melissa was always there for us, keeping a positive spin through the ups and downs of our birth! Counter pressure, massages, and positioning to help move baby were especially helpful. Melissa was very effective at helping out whenever needed and was very quick to come up with alternative techniques to help out if needed!”

The postpartum is an exciting and tiresome period and having a doula helps manage these emotions. Overall general tips on how to manage an infant and oneself during the postpartum period was most useful."

"Mel was helpful by providing resources and emotional support and always asked if there was more she could do to make the most of her time with us. In the first week she helped prepare pads with healing balms that I kept in my freezer and used throughout my recovery. She also brought a green shake one of the first few days which was really welcome especially since I was in the depths of sleep deprivation, recovery and new to breastfeeding."
